Growing up in Raleigh NC Andrew’s interests included playing guitar, drawing and cooking. While attending Western Carolina University Andrew decided to channel his creative energy into clay and received his BFA in ceramics in 2005. After graduating Andrew was awarded a resident artist position at the Cub Creek foundation where he began to develop his personal style. Since then Andrew has had many studios including Claymakers in Durham, Odyssey ClayWorks in Asheville, and two years as a post baccalaureate at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Recently Andrew finished a two year residency in Missoula Montana where he lives with his wife Donna Flanery and son Simon.
