Artist Julia Chandler Lawing synchronizes color and brushstroke to capture the essence of a moment and evoke emotion. Her oil paintings have been called “extravagantly beautiful, spiritual and inspiring.”
Julia’s years growing up on St. Simons Island instilled in her a deep appreciation for nature, light, and the wetlands.
Her work is included in private and corporate collections across the U.S. including Towne Bank and Georgia State University’s College of Law. Her paintings have appeared on ArtPop billboards, commercial window clings, and sheet metal in a historic downtown.
Julia, her husband Bruce and four daughters live in Concord, NC where she draws and paints in her studio at ClearWater Arts Center. She is constantly inspired by life, landscapes and faith.
