My recent ceramic works deal with ideas of industrialization and the wear and deterioration these objects go through during their life. While not deliberate representations of specific industrial objects or tools, my vessels contain elements and textures, which give them the feel of machine parts. Meanwhile, the surface of my work has been carefully selected to best represent the idea of deteriorating metals and other industrial materials. Through all of these choices I memorialize objects have served a long life of usefulness, but have been discarded and left to the elements and time.
